It is difficult to notice excess sugar in your diet because eating habits form and change gradually. Our body is a precisely balanced mechanism and if you do not notice an excessive craving for sweets yourself, the body will let you know this in other ways. Below are symptoms that indicate your body does not tolerate sugar.

1. Feeling Tired After Eating

Pay attention to how you feel after you eat sweets. If after a dessert you crave coffee and fall asleep at your desk, this may be due to fluctuations in blood sugar. According to doctors, people whose body processes sugar normally becomes energetic after eating sugary foods. Those who are sensitive to sugar, on the contrary, feel irritability, drowsiness, and breakdowns.

2. You Are Very Emotional

An unstable mood can be caused by fluctuations in blood sugar. Studies have confirmed a connection between the intake of sugary, carbohydrate foods, drinks, and depression. Although there may be many reasons for your unstable psychological state, foods that we eat significantly affects our physical and mental well-being. The easiest way to find out whether increased emotionality is associated with sugar is to temporarily reduce its consumption and pay attention to how you feel.

3. You Feel a Sharp Weakness, Dizziness, Irritability When Hungry

Low blood sugar can cause a condition called hypoglycemia. Symptoms of this syndrome include increased aggressiveness, irritability, sweating, dizziness, nausea, and general weakness. After a sweet meal or drink, a person quickly feels better but not for long. If you feel similar symptoms that pass after a snack, you should consult your doctor.

4. You Often Experience Bloating and Other Bowel Problems

Intestinal problems like bloating, diarrhea, and constipation can occur due to excess growth of candida fungus caused by sugar. When you eat or drink a lot of sweets, a fermentation process begins in the stomach which produces excess gas.

5. Feeling a Strong Craving for Sweets

If you constantly want sweets or feel that you are not full although you eat quite a lot, the cause may also be in blood glucose. Regular craving for sugar occurs due to a decrease in glucose levels. Dependence can be manifested in the need to complete each meal with a dessert or snack something sweet throughout the day.

6. You Feel Joint Pain

Another negative side effect of increased sugar intake during the day is the causeless ache and pain in the body that are caused by inflammation. According to nutritionists, regular jumps in blood glucose levels can lead to general inflammation which contributes to aging, digestive disorders, and knee or elbows joint pain. If you experience the same symptoms for an extended time, it is time to change your diet or try stem cell therapy for knees and elbows.

7. Became Distracted and Lethargic

Drowsiness, constant fatigue, lack of motivation and energy can also be symptoms of the sugar’s harmful effects on the body. It is especially worthwhile to be attentive if these conditions worsen after an abundant carbohydrate or sweet food intake. It may be a way for the body to give a signal that it burns and accumulates glucose more slowly than you consume it. When you eat too much sugar, the body has to produce extra insulin and cortisol which leads to fatigue.

8. You Can't Fall Asleep

There are many causes of insomnia or frequent awakenings in the middle of the night. It can be stress, excess caffeine, abuse of electronic devices, and a lack of an established sleep schedule. Sugar is also among the violators of your night's peace. Eating large amounts of sweets during the day or at bedtime can prevent the body from entering the deep phase of sleep.

9. Skin Inflammations

Our skin is incredibly sensitive to sugar. This is associated with the insulin reaction which triggers a chain of endocrine and hormonal changes that cause inflammation on the skin. If you noticed that your skin became more inflamed, this is a sign that you need to change your diet.
