We're still catching our breaths from last week, which ended with House of Original Nations on Sunday — an extraordinary day spent with Indigenous leaders in sacred ceremonies and conversations about their perspectives of the climate crisis. ICE Hub was delighted to host these moments of solidarity, created in partnership with GroundedMcDonough InnovationVivobarefoot,MingaIndigena, One Earth and Letters to the Earth. This Week at ICE Hub Glasgow COP26

Monday, 8 November - CARBON FINANCE DAY
SDG Exchange held a press luncheon to announce the launch of its first-of-its-kind, global blockchain-based exchange platform for carbon credits and other SDG assets. Missed it? Watch the replay.

Tuesday, 9 November — OCEANS DAY
1:00pm - 4:00pm — Hub Culture: Co-creating Ocean Solutions
Human activities and climate change are threatening the health of the world's oceans more than ever. What can we do to help save this precious natural resource? Join Hub Culture for an interactive discussion on co-creating solutions to save our oceans.

5:00pm - 7:00pm — Mattereum panel “Diplomacy, Politics and Technology: The Three Futures of Climate Action”
International diplomacy & treaty negotiations, national political transformation, and rapid technological change are three models of how to address climate change. Proponents of each model will discuss how these approaches must work together to achieve dramatically better results than any one approach can achieve. Hosted by Mattereum and Diplomatic World.

Wednesday, 10 November — OXYGEN DAY 

9:00am - 10:30am — Saving Rainforests 
Deforestation is a major contributor to global warming and the climate emergency, yet tropical rainforests are part of the solution. Join us for a breakfast discussion focused on saving our last great rainforests as we advocate for the Rainforest Collective and the Amazon Sacred Headwaters Initiative.

11:00am - 3:00pm — V02 & Oxygen Project: The Air We Breathe
What if there was a way to pay the planet for producing oxygen? Join Hub Culture to learn about VEN Oxygen (Vo2) — a new way for everyone to participate in environmental protection coming this fall. Hub Culture and guest speakers will explore the role of oxygen in the climate conversation. Learn how oxygen sources are being depleted, the impacts of oxygen loss, and what we can do to help.

5:00pm - 7:00pm — Mattereum panel: "Green Blockchain, Green Economy"
The blockchain is one of the most controversial technologies of the decade. Bitcoin is widely considered to be an ecological disaster. Can new blockchain systems offer a better way forward? An expert panel will discuss why these systems are so much greener than bitcoin.
