Join us once again for a hands-on, participatory lunchtime discussion (tables of 8), this year led by MIT’s Alex Pentland, Thomas Hardjono and David Shrier regarding use of new digital technologies to reduce fraud, increase cybersecurity, and help the 1.5 billion people who lack legal identity to gain access to the system. We’ll also be sharing our new open-source Trust::Data framework, developed with help from the EU, U.S., telecom and financial companies, that is being deployed in Colombia and in Senegal (and soon in Europe).
Format
=====
• Our lunch will be an engaging tables-of-8 interactive discussion, facilitated by identity and blockchain thought leaders.
• Our goal is to engage in a vibrant discussion about the current challenges, new solutions and future directions.
• Chatham House Rule (no attribution), but we will collect and distribute the key takeaways in a flash report as we did last year.
We like to prime our guests with a starter question, that you will answer for your table at the start of the lunch:
What is the single biggest challenge you think we face with respect to identity and inclusion?
There’s no one right answer - these “starter questions” are a great way to introduce yourself to the table without rattling off a biography. Our lunch is inspired by Jeffersonian Style Dinners (the “one table conversation”), more details at http://www.thegenerositynetwork.com/resources/jeffersonian-dinners/.
We’ll also be distributing copies of our new book, Trust::Data: A New Framework for Identity and Data Sharing (also available on Kindle). We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday!
