From an environment and planetary boundary standpoint, the current agriculture and food systems are not sustainable. Despite food and agriculture being such a significant contributor to emissions (25-30%), startups innovating in the sector, according to PwC’s State of Climate Tech 2023, received only 10% of climate tech investment dollars. We are 6 years away from the Paris targets and the time is now to explore every possible and imaginable solution that will support a growing population without destroying the planet.
