Beyul Retreat - A Mountain Landscape of Intentional Flow

Last month Stan Stalnaker joined Abby Stern and Reuben Sandowsky, who are part of the Hub Culture community, for a podcast recording at their beautiful Beyul Retreat centre. Beyul Retreat is a wilderness lodge, personal refuge, and a gathering space like no other. Nestled in the Frying Pan River valley deep in the Colorado Rocky Mountains – one hour from Aspen, CO.

In this podcast, Abby and Reuben deep dive into their origin story of Beyul, where it began and how they have built it up together, bringing their biggest dreams into reality.

Abby speaks on how education, intentional community and experiences in nature are so important to reconnect with the environment. Partnering with Reuben who has a very similar vision, the two of them speak with passion about how they joined forces to go after their dream of bringing people together and away from the mundane cycle of everyday life that everyone seems to get caught up in.

They worked hard on creating a sustainable business. Executing this dream was difficult yet they managed to come out on top, opening on the first day that they closed on the property!

Offers 15 separate cabins, the main lodge can sleep 70-100 people in the summer. Beyul has everything you could imagine, from a sauna to a cold plunge, to a hot tub. With amazing views due to the 4 seasons all year round. Take in the freshness of the Alpine lake and wildflower fields in summer. Or brave out and try cross country skiing in winter. Along with a whole host of other activities to pick and choose from.

Beyul Retreat is an experience. Finding flow state, building and healing relationships, executing your visions, and reconnecting with nature and community is what it’s all about.
