Fresh from its world premiere at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival, THE END OF THE LINE is the first major documentary about the imminent overfishing peril facing the world's oceans.

Catch this week's premieres in London, New York and Los Angeles,

The film examines the pending extinction of bluefin tuna, brought on by increasing western demand, the impact on marine life resulting in over -population of jellyfish, and the profound implications of a future world with no fish.

Filmed across the world - with investigative reporter Charles Clover, the story sails from the Straits of Gibraltar to Africa and Alaska to the alleys of a Tokyo fish market, and features top scientists, indigenous fishermen and fisheries enforcement officials to deliver a wake up call on the seafood we take for granted.

Scientists predict that if we continue fishing as we are now, we will see the end of most wild seafood by as early as 2048. The film lays the responsibility on the shoulders of the consumers who buy endangered fish, politicians who ignore the scientific facts, and fishermen breaking quotas in an industry that refuses to acknowledge the situation.

The film is already having an impact, with the UK's Marks & Spencer banning unsustainable tuna in the wake of the film.
