What is actually DOMS? This pain occurs because of the toxins of the lactic acid gathered in your muscles. This happens when the muscles perform work that is not usual for them. There can be also micro traumas during the training (for example, pulled muscles).
It is important to know that DOMS is not a disease or pathology. Usually, it takes few days for our body to cope with it and it will just pass without any additional efforts. If you train regularly, your muscles get used and you will not have such problem in future. But if you make a long interval, it may come back.
