Best Options for Restoring Your Teeth

Unfortunately, even now, when multiple dentistry tools are available, it is not always possible to preserve a tooth. Still, even this is not a problem anymore with all the possibilities modern dentistry services provide. Lost a tooth? Have a new one! A whole teeth row lost? Even this can be solved with the help of modern dental prosthetics.

You can restore or replace your lost teeth with dental prostheses, depending on your individual needs, health conditions and the state of things in your mouth. The prostheses can be removable and non-removable. There is also such a radical option as dental implants that is a serious surgical intervention, but also the best possible choice in many cases.

If you need a restoration of your own natural teeth that have their roots, crowns can work great. They can be made of different materials and are worn on the remains of your natural teeth. There is enough choice of materials that have different aesthetic qualities.

If you have several lost teeth in a row, cosmetic bridges may be an option for you. The construction with crowns imitates the lost teeth row. It can use an adhesion, your own teeth or dental implants as the basis. The implants used for this are not the same as the full teeth substitutes; their purpose is purely functional.

Veneers and lumineers are the onlays that serve to cover damaged teeth and improve their aesthetic looks. Lumineers are less traumatic than veneers because they do not require trimming of the tooth for installation. But they are a more expensive option.

Removable dentures are an option when all of your teeth are missing. They can be fully or partially removable. Fully removable dentures are made of  an elastic material that holds on your gums. However, you may require additional fixation with the help of a cream over time because of the bone atrophy progress. Partially removable dentures are more resistible and can be worn for a long period of time.

Dental implants are the most expensive but the most reliable solution. The important thing about them is their ability to stop the bone loss process. They have a certain number of contraindications and if you cannot have them because of your health conditions, ask your dentist about the alternatives mentioned above.

The choice of prostheses is a choice that needs to be made by your dentist. You can agree or disagree and together with your doctor look for the option that will satisfy you. Remember that your dentist knows better what the best option for you is and can think in perspective, so be attentive to the doctor’s recommendations.
