Where is artificial intelligence used today?

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a collection of several technologies that work together to give robots the ability to see, understand, act, and learn at levels of intellect comparable to humans. It's possible that this is the reason why various people define artificial intelligence (AI) differently: AI encompasses a variety of concepts. 

The field of AI includes technologies like machine learning and natural language processing. When used in conjunction with data, analytics, and automation, each is developing along its own path and may assist organisations in achieving their goals.  AI technologies are able to understand, analyze, and learn from data through specially designed algorithms, which are complex mathematical formulas and operations.  AI can be found in many places, some examples of artificial intelligence at work include:

 

AI-based face recognition and biometric system Many individuals reach for their iPhones as soon as they wake up each morning. Your smartphone uses artificial intelligence to allow that capability when you unlock it with biometrics, such as face ID. Apple's FaceID is 3D-capable. Your face is illuminated, covered with 30,000 small infrared dots, and a picture is taken. Once it has saved information about your face, it compares the face scan with that information to decide whether or not the person trying to unlock the phone is actually you. According to Apple, the likelihood of fooling FaceID is one in a million. 

Autonomous or self-driving vehicles. Another use of  AI is used in cars, which are completely integrated with systems to enable the machine to operate autonomously while aware of its immediate surroundings and real environmental conditions. This data can include sensor data or data from laser based mapping systems like Lidar, which are are aggregated and shared across an A.I. neural network to provide a base foundation of location based awareness shared across many vehicles.

 Vehicle Recognition Identification Many of your city's traffic cameras utilize artificial intelligence to read licence plates. Companies are now using computer vision, a form of AI that can see and understand images—along with deep learning to turn conventional surveillance into vehicle monitoring. This is a crucial component of integrated traffic systems and also a huge help to law enforcement since surveillance videos can now be searched for specific licence plate numbers. Additionally, AI-based security cameras and other surveillance equipment are widely used to keep cities and places safe. 

Automation in warehouse and supply chain management is saving labour costs while assisting storage organisations in effectively managing and supplying their large amounts of products. Additionally, this method is assisting the e-commerce industry in running more profitably and efficiently. 

In the healthcare sector, artificial intelligence is playing a crucial role in empowering the machines to diagnose, analyse, and predict a variety of diseases, monitor the health conditions of patients, and assist scientists in exploring new drug discoveries and medicine development, assisting people in getting well quickly and avoiding health issues in their lives. 

Smart homes Our homes are becoming increasingly "smart."  Many of us now have "smart" thermostats that learn about our daily routines and preferences for heating and cooling in order to set the temperature exactly right for when we get home. Smart refrigerators may suggest wines that would go well with your meal and make lists of what you need depending on what is no longer in your fridge. Undoubtedly, smart appliances will continue to be more common.

Digital Assistance Digital assistants like Apple's Siri, Google Now and Amazon's Alexa and Hub Culture's Zeke aid users with a variety of activities, such as checking their schedules and conducting online searches to sending orders to another app. These applications learn from each and every user contact and AI plays a significant role in how they function. They can now identify speech patterns more accurately and provide people personal results are more in line with their tastes.

AI shows up in places you would least expect! Here are some brief examples of AI which often go unnoticed. 

Personalization of news feeds and automatic recognition of similar features in images on social media, product searching and recommendations on eCommerce platforms, and social media monitoring. Smart categorization of email and message system spam filtering which uses algorithms to learn from different signals, such as pre-set rules, and the words in the message. AI also can be grammar and spelling checkers in word processing and educational application platforms. 

The future has arrived. AI technology will only continue to evolve, grow, and become increasingly important in every business and almost every aspect of our daily life. Artificial intelligence will continue to develop and be present in new areas of our lives. We'll see more methods for AI to make our lives easier and more productive as new applications emerge.
