Hub Culture today announced in Luxembourg it will become an official #GivingTuesday partner, a worldwide charitable giving day set to explode this year as more countries, companies and communities join its call to action. With the partnership, Ven becomes the first digital currency to partner with #GivingTuesday, leading the way for new forms of philanthropic giving in the financial trading markets and among Hub Culture members.
#GivingTuesday, December 2, 2014 follows the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and kicks off the holiday giving season with a global day dedicated to charitable giving, harnessing the power of social media and the generosity of people around the world to bring about real change in their communities. Now in its third year, #GivingTuesday is a worldwide movement that celebrates the power of giving in all its forms. Since its launch in 2012, #GivingTuesday has galvanized a 53%, then 90% increase in same day charitable giving, with over 10,000 participants and 1.2 billion media impressions.
On #GivingTuesday Hub Culture is making a donation of 100% of trading margin proceeds from financial market trading of Ven. As part of a new campaign, Hub Culture will be reaching out to banks, hedge funds and large companies to encourage maximum trading volumes of Ven on the world s financial exchanges during #GivingTuesday. In addition, Hub Culture members will be able to donate Ven to charitable projects via HubCulture.com, with the USD exchange value of these donations being donated as part of #GivingTuesday. In addition, Hub Culture will be pushing awareness and outreach of Ven as a charitable giving tool through its online giving modules for specially selected environmental and social causes on #GivingTuesday.
Hub Culture Founding Director, Stan Stalnaker announced the launch at the ICT Spring Europe fintech conference in Luxembourg, a laboratory where work is beginning on humanitarian and non-profit initiatives involving Ven including humanitarian issuance into Africa, microfinance development, aid replacement and other non-profit projects:
Combining the growing trading volumes of Ven in the financial markets with the social good juggernaut of #GivingTuesday creates a meaningful way to boost charitable giving in the community using Ven. We encourage hedge funds, banks, corporations and everyone to use this opportunity to generate funding for this worthwhile cause simply by trading Ven in the markets on #GivingTuesday. We hope the tiny margins of trade cascading through the financial system will add up to big results for #GivingTuesday. There s no better day to trade Ven in the markets, or to use it to support a worthwhile cause listed at HubCulture.com.

Hub Culture #GivingTuesday Finance Leadership Campaign
To support the programme, Hub Culture is creating a Finance Leadership campaign running through the summer and fall to signup the world s financial traders to the platforms where Ven trades to ensure maximum trading volumes on #GivingTuesday. In addition to the three major exchanges currently trading millions of Ven monthly, Hub Culture, LMAX, and Kraken, Hub Culture is opening the door to other regulated exchanges to add Ven, boosting the overall trading volume capability of the currency in new financial arenas and inviting partners to trade on its partner exchanges.
This includes special access to the high frequency trading and market-making tools that structure Ven pricing and liquidity, which exchanges can incorporate into their own trading platforms between now and December. Interested exchanges, financial traders, funds and banks can all apply to join, with a Hub Culture Knowledge Broker assigned to each institution to help guide integration.
