Small businesses are the lifeblood of the UK economy and are central to the Government’s vision for an ‘enterprise-led recovery’. Yet, while start-up rates are increasing, the figures show that 1 in 3 don’t make it past their third year. This panel session held at The Hub Culture Pavilion will discuss the unique challenges for small businesses with insights from successful entrepreneurs and business experts, covering topics such as:
· The role of government in supporting small businesses: What do small businesses think about George Osborne’s recent announcements on credit easing and tax freezes? Is the Government doing enough?
· Overcoming market pressures: How can small businesses best overcome the competing pressures of restricted access to funds, falling demand and rising inflation?
· Business confidence: How do small businesses feel about today’s trading conditions? Have they seen any improvements over the past 6 months? Do they feel more positive about the future?
The panel members will share their thoughts and experiences on the above and more. There will be a number of entrepreneur Speakers including:
