Mount Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano in Tanzania and the highest mountain in Africa, with its summit about 4,900 metres (16,100 ft) from its base, and 5,895 metres (19,341 ft) above sea level. It has become a major trekking route for avid climbers and charity fundraising groups from all over the world, with an average summit success rate of over 95%.

The next Hub Culture Expedition will be leading a small group to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in March 2020. Jess Southall, Operations Director in London, will be heading up this 9 day adventure, raising money for Cornwall Hospice Care in memory of her grandmother.

The trip will take the Lemosho route, which is said to be one of the best options for climbing Kilimanjaro. The route provides plenty of time for acclimatization and has beautiful views of the entire mountain. The trip includes airport pickup, hotel in Moshi on the first and last night, guide and porters, all meals & accommodation during the climb, and permits as required. The only extra costs are flights, visa on arrival, a few meals while in Moshi, and tips for the staff. (around $300).

Dates: 14th - 22nd March 2020
