Who are the Future Contemporaries?


The Serpentine Gallery Future Contemporaries are a diverse and engaging group who support the Gallery.  The community is by invitation and limited to a small number of people, who gather for specially invited events and opportunities made possible through the gallery.

**Future Contemporaries 

Quarterly Special Event: Visit to Studio of Shezad Dawood 

 

Shezad Dawood was born in London in 1974 and was trained at Central St Martin’s and the Royal College of Art before 

undertaking a PhD at Leeds Metropolitan University.  He works across a broad spectrum of media and his works have 

since been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows in the UK. He is currently representing Pakistan in East- 

West Divan at the Venice Biennale.

The Serpentine Gallery presents an exhibition of works by the influential artist and activist Gustav Metzger representing a 

life-long exploration of politics, ecology and the destructive powers of 20th-century industrialised societies.
