Svitlana has a truly extraordinary story. A leading climate scientist based in Kyiv, in March 2022 she was a leading author of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report on climate impacts that was soon to be released. As the Russian invasion began, Svitlana chose to remain in Kyiv to continue her work. The report could not have been more timely.
